Set your IP address to the assigned public IP. The setup page is not accessible from the internet by default so we will need to create an SSH tunnel so it appears as if you’re accessing the machine locally. Before you can access the management interface you need to complete the setup process. It seems as if it's not configured to know that correctly. There are no servers listed under the devices. Plex instead says it can't find a server. When I navigate to that page (which is hosted on the machine I installed PMS on) I do not see server options. A guide indicated that I would then be able to go to :32400/web and setup the server settings. I've remotely connected to that server and used wget to download the latest Plex Media b file. Maybe there's something tragically obvious that I'm missing and I apologize for that. I'm stumped as to why this is happening and haven't been enable to work out the right Google-magic to find a solution.ĮDIT: Here's some extra clarification of what I've done. I've ensured that I've installed it via the PlexMediaServer file and not a normal version. The trouble is when I connect via :32400/web it just seems to be a normal, Plex viewer installation that can't find a server. I've installed Plex on my headless Ubuntu server running 12.0.4.
